Rita Levi-Montalcini is a 102-year Italian neurologist who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1986. And she is the unlikely inspiration collection spring / summer 2012 from Fendi.
Rita’s life is quite the story and I encourage you to look her up. Smart, ambitious, elegant and certainly feisty, she certainly deserves an entire line of clothing inspired by her achievements and ‘never-say-die’ attitude and…fortitude.

Minimalist….that’s the word I was looking for! However, there is nothing minimal about the great lady that inspired this collection and these tremendous sunglasses. Rita Levi-Montalcini, along with two fellow scientists, won the 1986 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine and later she went on to win the National Medal of Science, which happens to be the highest American scientific honor.
