Kylie Minogue sunglasses style ranges from the fairly demure all the way to the edge of fashion. Most often spotted in a pair of Ray Ban’s, Kylie has also branched out to try some different kinds of sunglasses and thus stretched her look to match her singer persona. And we are so glad she did! Not only is she beautiful and talented, it’s nice to see a range of looks to get our own ideas from. Ray Ban sunglasses seem to be her fallback look, as she has been pictured in several different versions. Ray Ban does suit her…but she actually looks good in many frame shapes. Her face really does lend itself to different styles, so she’s lucky that way!

Equally attractive on both men and women, the aviator style has endured the test of time. Making the list of hot sunglasses for 2012, Aviators are really both a safe choice and a trendy choice. Not many styles can say that, you know. With some interesting takes on the basic shape, designers have found that with a little imagination, this classic style is perfect for a little experimentation. Kick up your heels and take a look at these gorgeous twists on the original Aviator style.
Hot Sunglasses for 2012 – Aviators
Aviators are designed to cover about three times the area of the eye socket, to block out as much light as possible. They were designed during WW2 and became popular throughout the armed forces. You see celebrities such as Michael Jackson, Val Kilmer, and Tom Cruise sporting them on screen. Aviators are the most copied/duplicated pair of sunglasses there are. (More here)
And, of course, the original Ray Ban Aviators…
What do you think of the Diesel sunglasses? Pretty great, right? The first pair listed is from Dior, then Dsquared, then the Diesel design. Really, all of them are so attractive and sleek that you could select any one of them and not go wrong. While maintaining the basic shape of the original Ray Ban design, the other designers have remained true to the classic while telling their own story and showing their own point of view. As hot sunglasses for 2012, Aviators are one style that will likely continue to be on the ‘hot’ list for years to come. You can never go wrong with the original Ray Ban’s as well, but it’s always great to see what other designers can bring to the table.
And who do we see in these delicious sunglasses? Well, this time it’s Taylor Lautner, of course. The Caravan line was first seen in 1957 and was noted for its streamlined shape, clean, defined lines and it’s timeless styling. Re-vamped for 2011, we can see that Ran Ban has modified the frame to create a smaller lens and changed the ‘classic’ aviator shape. Gone is the tear drop lens and replacing it is a more boxy shape.
Ray Ban Caravan Sunglasses – Relaunched
These beauties are constructed of a Monel® metal frame and the lenses are crystal. They are also made in Italy and sport UV 400 protection. The entire line is really quite nice, with some range in lens colors as well as the metal frame. Oh, and the Caravan sunglasses are subscription lens compatible. (For those that wanted to know!)
The lens options start with a more smoky fade, then to a medium opaque and ending with a rather dark lens. It looks like Taylor Lautner chose this darker range.
The frames come in gold, red, blue, white, silver, and black with white tips. That certainly adds some punch and fun, don’t you think? The more classic Aviator style really only sported gold, so the change in color will certainly appeal to a larger audience and suit more styles and personalities. A good move by Ray Ban, for sure! Take a look at the smoky lens option with a blue frame below. Aren’t they great?
Ray-Ban sunglasses. There are so many variations and styles that it’s almost overwhelming. With names like Clubmaster, Caravan, Daddy-O and Jackie Ohh flying at your face in colors and textures like twirl orange, rubber green and fuchsia comics, it’s easy to see why choosing just one pair can make your head spin.
These glasses were designed for the lovin’-life post-hipster, quintessential ‘80s, BMX-generation of today. A class of people who are so cool that they don’t even know they’re cool.
This brings us to the Original Wayfarer. A pair of specs so special and so classical, that you reap immediate SoCal surfer status by just looking at them. And in this mix of casual cool, the Original Wayfarer Twirl Azure/Crystal Grey Gradient as well as the Original Wayfarer Top White on Striped Orange/Crystal Brown Gradient sets illuminates the skies. These two designs are the “bee’s knees.”
The super ‘80s look is back with flair of neon colors peeking out onto distinctly thick top frames. So much so, that one might think they’ve taken Dr. Emmett Brown’s time machine back into the future.
