Want to know what is new and fresh for this year’s sunglasses? Many designers are putting some great twists on the trend sunglasses for 2012, the Cat Eye. An oldie-but-goodie, the cat eye is an eye-wear favorite from the fifties and sixties and has enjoyed a particular acceptance since then because of the quirky way it helps to frame the face. The designs that are being seen for 2012 have some added twists and turns that help to keep them interesting and even have a bit of an edgy feel to them. Take a look and see if you don’t agree!
Trend Sunglasses for 2012 – The Cat Eye

With gradient lenses or awesome details on the eyebrow or at the corners, these trend sunglasses for 2012, the cat eye, are really offering a new perspective. A little fierce, a little fun and a lot of attitude, you are sure to get some attention when you are wearing a pair of this season’s cat eye sunglasses.
What makes these so fun? The first pair sport a gold tip at each of the outer top corners which will help to catch the light and make you sparkle! The second pair listed here are from Chanel and well…you can see that the details are just amazing. And this last pair is from Tilly and are just so sleek and clean as to be irresistible. They can really turn up the volume on any outfit – and isn’t that the point of accessories this season, anyway? I think so!

When you say “Miu Miu”, what images come to mind? I’m thinking, girly, fun, distinct, individual, colorful and rockin’ Miu Miu sunglasses! Am I right, or what? The Italian design has come to be well known amongst those with a flair for the moment. Women who like to make a statement will be seen in Miu Miu sooner or later.
Colorful and Rockin’ Miu Miu Sunglasses

I really love the detailing in the pair at the top. The etchings that go all the way around the lens certainly catch your eye and add a sparkle to the glasses. Known as police glasses, they make for an interesting deviation from an aviator design. And yes, Miu Miu certainly knows their way around color! From last years Film Noir inspired sunglasses to the more accessible designs seen here, what’s important is that the sunglasses celebrate femininity while remaining comfortable and functional.
If you also love these colorful and rockin’ Miu Miu Sunglasses, let us know in the comments below or post it to our Facebook page. We’d love to hear what you think and if you have a picture of yourself in any Miu Miu sunglasses, put it up on our Facebook page and show off!

While one cannot always predetermine what will inspire them, we take our hats off to the woman who served as an inspiration to the designers at Fendi for the Spring 2012 season. Ready to hear about these truly inspired Fendi Sunglasses and clothing?
Rita Levi-Montalcini is a 102-year Italian neurologist who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1986. And she is the unlikely inspiration collection spring / summer 2012 from Fendi.
Rita’s life is quite the story and I encourage you to look her up. Smart, ambitious, elegant and certainly feisty, she certainly deserves an entire line of clothing inspired by her achievements and ‘never-say-die’ attitude and…fortitude.
Truly Inspired Fendi Sunglasses

Showing just a slight tint of color, these Fendi Sunglasses still make quite a statement. As EyeWearDaily.com put it:
…And if it once was in tune on this collection, nothing could be more interesting than the frameless sunglasses inside a sport-chic minimalist style, embellished by the reflection of gold leaf covering the eye lids. (more here)
Minimalist….that’s the word I was looking for! However, there is nothing minimal about the great lady that inspired this collection and these tremendous sunglasses. Rita Levi-Montalcini, along with two fellow scientists, won the 1986 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine and later she went on to win the National Medal of Science, which happens to be the highest American scientific honor. There’s more…but I don’t want to bore you!
Now are you really impressed with these truly inspired Fendi Sunglasses, or are you a bit intimidated? Don’t let that stop you from sporting a pair of your own. These are really unique and beautiful, so try on a pair when you get the chance. Really, it’s the smart thing to do!

Done right, lace is classy and sexy all in one swoop. Dolce & Gabbana Lace Sunglasses Collection has done it right. With a subtlety of design, these sunglasses have the correct balance of femininity and strength. These sunglasses are flirtatious and beautiful while offering a lovely color and design pallet. Alluring…yes.
Dolce & Gabbana Lace Sunglasses Collection

The lace design on the frames was inspired by the ornate lace fabric from Sicilia. It’s no wonder that the fashion house pulls from Sicilia, as that is part of their cultural heritage. We can certainly see and feel their love in these wonderful designs.
The black laces of Sicilian women represent the elegance, sensuality, and the aura of freedom that rooted to this stylish and modern eyewear collection as fantastic fashion accessories within the Italian aesthetic.
The collection comes with transparent lace printed frames resembling such delicate vibe that mixed perfectly with retro look in variety of fashionable designs and colors, such as the sophisticated black version, the elegant white pieces, and the contemporary version of the scarlet or green, whereas these lacy sunglasses are also released in cat’s eye styles and the typical designs from the 80s. (more here)

These are my personal favorite. Of all the Dolce & Gabbana Lace Sunglasses Collection options, these frames and stylish black are simply divine. They would be great with a plain white tee-shirt and jeans or would also work with a tailored gray skirt suit. How can you miss when you are covered either way?

For this year’s line, Anna Sui seems to have really been in a fun mood! Not only are her designs usually an imaginative mix of bohemian and rocker glam, but she has a certain flair and fun way of presenting her designs. This spring season shows colors trending with Anna Sui Sunglasses in a flirty and fun way. Take a look at these red and violet sunglasses that walked down the runway.
Colors Trending With Anna Sui Sunglasses

These Anna Sui eyewear designs speak to her aim of creating distinctive, modern interpretations of retro shapes. Most note worthy are her cat-eye, butterfly, oval, rectangular and even a kind of mask-like frame that is both sculptured and accented by floral engravings and metal piercings.

This current season the designer somehow managed to combine a 70′s vibe with a tribute to the 40′s style and glamor. An interesting combination, to say the least! Some of the season’s sunglasses are a match to this feel, while others are a bit more flexible and simply show off how much fun wearing sunglasses, or any kind of glasses, can be. Yes, there are certainly colors trending with Anna Sui sunglasses as well as her other eyewear and it’s a beautiful thing to behold!

It didn’t all just start with Ed Hardy Sunglasses. Did you know that Don Ed Hardy went to the San Francisco Art Institute and got a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking? He then went on to become a student of Sailor Jerry Collins and studied tattooing in Japan in 1973 with the Japanese classical tattoo master, Horihide. It was largely due to this experience that led Hardy to incorporate such a strong Japanese tattoo technique and feel into his innovative American style work.
Ed Hardy Sunglasses

Ed Hardy sunglasses are included amongst the many bold and dramatic designs that one looks to when looking at luxury eyewear. The sunglasses designs that appear at the temple of the frames contain vivid graphics that have made Ed Hardy famous worldwide. Best known for his Geisha and Dragon, Beautiful Ghost and Battle designs, etc. the sunglasses feature Swarovski crystals, leather, denim and even vintage hinges shaped like crosses, snakes and roses.

What’s not to like? They are a little bit edgy, a little bit dangerous and a whole lot of fun. An easy and beautiful way to protect your equally beautiful eyes while making a statement. Prada Classic Sunglasses Collection – Spring Summer 2012
Footluxe.com had this to say about the men’s collection:
Designs and shapes reminiscent most of actors’ styles from the 50s, while the colors chosen varied from classic to modern, such as the green glasses with a unique combination of lightweight plastic and gold metal.
It certainly is true that some of these styles bring to mind a bit of eras gone by…but with a freshness that is really nice.
Strong with classic and elegant touch, this collection is proposed in graceful and detailed craftsmanship that combines both high tradition and modern innovative designs, promising the spirit of luxury and sophistication of Prada.
